NON INVASIVE KETTLE TEST FOR ONE OF EUROPES LARGEST GALVANIZERS!

Zinco UK Limited has recently completed a non-invasive kettle test for one of the largest hot dip galvanizing plants in Europe with a capacity to process in excess of 60,000 tonnes per year.

Antwerpse Verzinkerij is a division of the Galva Power Group nv based at Schoten, Belgium. It has one  zinc kettle measuring 19.0m long, 1.9m wide and 3.0m deep, which actually holds just over 700 tonnes of zinc. Previously, to measure the bath wall thickness, the zinc would have been emptied from the kettle causing a loss of production of 5 – 10 days.

However, by using Zinco UK, the kettle was tested in just a single day using cutting edge patented technology.

Chris Derdelinckx, Plant Manager of Antwerpe Verzinkerij commented, “ the non-invasive test saved a lot of time and we were impressed that the equipment was able to measure such a deep kettle.”
